We are excited to announce that we will be offering a Lifeboatman (with optional AB) course in the near future, exclusively for Local 25 members, through Chesapeake Marine Institute. We intend to hold this class more than once and will be looking to hold other endorsement classes as well. In order to take advantage of the USCG endorsement classes that we will be offering directly, you must already have your USCG Merchant Mariner Credential. By law, all mariners should have an MMC. If you do not already have your MMC, please apply for one as soon as possible. Please note that you DO NOT need any sea time or a sea time letter to apply for your MMC. After you hold a MMC, you will need sea time to add certain endorsements.
